Mac OS X Lion[1] (version 10.7; marketed as OS X Lion)[2] is the eighth and current major release of Mac OS X, Apple's desktop and server operating system for Macintosh computers.

1. OS X Lion
OS X Lion has a great picture quality as you can see above.
Users can add applications at the bottom so that they can use easier.
2. Launchpad
When you first see Launchpad, you will think you have seen this before in somewhere else.....
Yes!! iPhone (or iPod)
Launchpad looks pretty similar to smartphone applications.
Launchpad makes it much easier for users to use applications. You can just click button in your keyboard or at the bottom of your screen.
3. Full-screen Apps
Let's say you are seeing your photos with iPhoto app.
Then,,, you find out arrow at top-right side of the screen.
If you click it...
TADA!
You can find out that the window became bigger.
You don't need to see dock (the bottom part of screen that has applications), and this will let you focus more on iPhoto.
4. The Mac App Store
If you are iPhone, iPad or iPod user you will know App Store.
For people who don't know what App store is, let me explain shortly.
App store is where you buy applications for your device.
It looks like this
Like iPhone, iPad, and iPod you can buy apps for your Mac!
It is easier for you to buy apps at App store than installing through web site.
You just click and enter your password. That's it!
5. Mission Control
Mission control is a function that makes you check on-going applications easily.
With your finger gesture(I'll explain this at #7) or button on keyboard, you can do this very very easy.
Some people might think again, 'I've seen this before...'
Here's the answer.
If you've ever used iPhone, iPad, or iPod, you will know what this function is.
You can do this by pressing home button twice.
This function makes much more convenient for users to use 'multi tasking' function.
6. Mail
Do you still check your e-mail through web browser?
In Lion OS, you don't need to do this.
What you need to do is just click Mail icon on dock.
Also, when you get new mail, it will tell you.
Like this.....
Can you see red circled 1?
That means you've got 1 mail in your mail box.
7. Multi-touch Gestures
This is the last feature of Mac OS X Lion.
I can say that this is one of the feature that attracts people the most.
This feature was also inspired by smart phones(esp. iPhone).

It is pretty cool.
You don't need to carry your mouse. To me, this function is much better than using a mouse.
You just put your fingers on trackpad, and do the gestures you want to.
These are the features of Mac OS X Lion.
There are more, but as it's late I'll explain more next time.
As there are so many amazing functions in Lion, it's hard to explain all of them in one post.
